Take 1kg chicken. add 1/2 cup of yoghurt and 2 tablespoons spice mix. mix well and wait 15 min. chop onion, add to pan with oil, add another tablespoon of spice mix. stir fry for a few mins. add tomato paste. fry until fragrant. add chicken with sauce, wait a bit until its even more fragrant, add 1 can of coconut milk (or cream), cook on low heat until done. serve with rice

I noticed that many many many indian dishes use all or most of these spices in roughly the given percentage. though usually they use fresh garlic and ginger or garlic/ginger paste. so I tried a bit and got to this mix with garlic powder and ginger powder, which works very well in many dishes

I use it pretty often for sauces, especially asian sticky sauce type of stuff. though I hate the mess it makes. I also wouldn't want to not have pepper in the house, its absolutely essential in my oppinion.
