23:38:33 <Nothing\> i was trying to figure out how to make a ramp generator by charging an inductor with a constant current source and have a comparator check the voltage of the inductor vs a reference so when it gets up to the reference voltage, the comparator activates a switch that shorts the inductor, ideally bringing everything back to the starting point
23:39:19 <Nothing\> but i didn't have any hysteresis element in there so once it hit the reference voltage the switch would just jitter back and forth uselessly as it hit the reference voltage then immediately dropped below it, basically turned it into an oscillator
