16:03:19 <Steven1> yo
16:12:42 <s_gmusic> dammit
16:12:57 <s_gmusic> keep trying to get my character dead in this runelords game
16:13:01 <s_gmusic> shit ain't happenin'
16:15:02 <Steven1> its not hard.
16:15:20 <Steven1> just do something really stupid
16:15:36 <Steven1> go for a midnight stroll without your armor
16:26:23 <s_gmusic> while climbing up a cliff, a party member threw a spare rope + grappling hook up around the neck of a large creature to pull the off so they wouldn't set off the alarm. they failed to do pull them down, so continued to climb up normally (and invisible). I took my Fighter 8/Samurai 1 in full plate and heavy shield, grabbed hold of the rope around the neck and specifically stated "I bounce up and
16:26:23 <s_gmusic> down the rope to pull them off." We were 5000 feet up the cliff when doing this. Between my dice and the GM, it not only didn't work, but I didn't slip, either, and proceded to get pulled up by the monster.
16:26:24 <s_gmusic> :|
16:33:13 <Steven1> why do you wanna die anyways? not having fun with it?
16:57:27 <s_gmusic> To a point, yeah. I'm having to crit-fish to keep a moderate amount of melee damage going, compared to the Wizard and Alchemist in the group, which seems to aggravate the GM (I only potentially crit on 15-20 with a katana. at least I'm not doing Rogue crit-fish shenanigans). Alchemist still has almost no clue about what he can or can not do, but is getting a little better (it amazes me that he
16:57:28 <s_gmusic> GMs PFS and has decent PFS characters, but is struggling with Alchemist in a Runelords AP). We have That Guy, who tries to play everyone's turns for them, or changes things 10 minutes after they happened, or takes credit for other player's suggestions on actions/diplomacy/etc. There is also That Guy's Fiancee, who doesn't know how to play too well and is content to read a book or do homework
16:57:28 <s_gmusic> instead of trying to learn the game (I believe she is a better fit for D&D 5e, less numbers more RP, than 3.5/Pathfinder which is more numbers). We lost our Cleric because of IRL stuff. Our Wizard is okay sitting with me reading or talking about things until one of us sees a chance to actually do something aside from combat or something that That Guy isn't going to control.
