03:33:20 <diebot> Avatar, GRAVE SALT [faint evocation] CL:5 none 1100gp, 5lb
03:33:21 <diebot> When poured on ground in a circle, this pure white salt sanctifies the enclosed area as the spell consecrate. Applying the salt takes 1 round per dose. A single dose is sufficient to form a 5-foot radius circle, with each additional dose increasing the circle's radius by 5 feet. The area within the circle remains consecrated for 1 hour per dose,
03:33:21 <diebot> though any corporeal creature can spend a standard action to break the circle and end the effect prematurely. A newly created pouch of grave salt holds 5 doses. Grave salt can also be used directly against restless spirits. A single dose can be hurled up to 15 feet as a ranged touch attack. An incorporeal undead creature struck by the salt must
03:33:21 <diebot> make a DC 14 Will save or take 1d4 points of Charisma damage. Strong winds and other effects that penalize ranged attacks make it impossible to employ the salt in this manner. Source: Ultimate Equipment

03:33:58 <diebot> Eroeme is a lawful-aligned intelligent +2 mithral monstrous humanoid bane greatsword that can resize to fit the hands of its wielder. In the days when Azlant battled the serpentfolk empire, five lesser replicas of Savith's legendary magical sword were crafted for her closest allies. One of these weapons was Eroeme, made for the cyclops general
03:33:58 <diebot> Aveshai with the specific purpose of slaying the serpentfolk and their agents wherever they might be found on or beneath Golarion. The sword's knowledge and experience was invaluable to General Aveshai as he faced the serpentfolk in Ilmurea, and its disappearance (along with the general) somewhere beneath the Mwangi jungles was a blow to Azlanti

03:34:05 <Avatar> not even alchemical items ??
03:34:37 <Mekkis> nope

03:38:17 <Avatar> it's possible that it's so absurd that everyone is dumbfounded by it

03:46:10 <diebot> This conical iron jingasa, or war hat, grants the wearer a +1 luck bonus to AC. 03:49:22 <Avatar> A player may not re-skin items to be something for which there are no specific rules, and any item a character uses for which there are no stats is considered an improvised weapon (see page 144 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook).

06:35:52 <Damalon01> lol i was distracted by ESO :P
06:43:12 <Damalon01> what did you guys play?
06:43:25 <Avatar> destiny 1 and port godless
06:43:41 <Avatar> I've played destiny 2 but couldn't play destiny 3 because I'm out of tier
06:43:50 <Avatar> making it a 3-7 seems like a mistake
06:43:59 <Avatar> half the players can't play it
06:44:15 <Avatar> part 3 that is, the others are 1-5
06:44:38 <Mekkis> Weapons in the Rift, Port Godless, Many Fortunes of GM Torch, and Haunting of Hinoji
06:44:56 <Avatar> hadn't you played haunting of hinojai
06:45:22 <Mekkis> Haunting was a difficult scenario
06:45:32 <Mekkis> nope
06:45:52 <Mekkis> that first encounter was deadly
06:48:33 <Mekkis> I suppose the party makeup was really suboptima
08:22:52 <Mekkis> yay. BSoD
08:29:45 <Damalon01> so heres my problem with Bonekeep. You get paid quite well, assuming you complete it. But the negative boon has no written cure. Mekkis theorised a Wish spell. a Wish spell would easily cost most if not all of the gold you get from the scenario, thus negating yet further the promise of great rewards made by the scenario.
08:30:38 <Mekkis> Damalon01, I agree that it is an issue.
08:30:56 <Mekkis> I don't like it.
08:32:07 <Damalon01> Osrim the Fish and I both gave it 1 star reviews.
08:34:37 <Mekkis> if you do want it removed, you can play part three with me...
08:35:12 <Damalon01> is part three out? is there a cure boon on its chronicle?
08:35:25 <Mekkis> nope, and probably not.
08:35:56 <Mekkis> But, I'll be giving out wishes there.
08:36:16 <Damalon01> then no thank you. the only way i can think of that part 3 would be worthwhile is if part 3 removed the negative boons from the previous scenarios.
08:36:25 <Damalon01> are you sure wishes will do it?
08:36:54 <Mekkis> depends on the GM, but I'm pretty sure that if Stephen or Andrey GMs, they'll allow it.
08:37:14 <Damalon01> but wouldnt Mike Brock have the final say so?
08:37:21 <Damalon01> couldnt he vetto them?
08:37:23 <Mekkis> yes and no.
08:37:55 <Damalon01> i think he could its wether or not he would
08:37:57 <Mekkis> if it happens at a table, it's happened. There is a slight chance of Brock vetoing it, but I'd call it unlikely
08:38:32 <Mekkis> That being said, he doesn't have much of a reputation for overriding table rulings
08:38:51 <Damalon01> nah itd cause too much strife.
08:40:43 <Damalon01> see i think that since the neg boon has no written cure, a GM could easily rule that there is none.
08:40:55 <Damalon01> that not even a wish can cure it
08:41:15 <Mekkis> I can see that. I also can't see Andrei or Stephen ruling like that
08:41:19 <Damalon01> cant sorry
08:41:50 <Damalon01> true, any fair GM would see reason. But Bonekeep wasnt written in the spirit of fairness was it?
08:42:02 <Mekkis> I wish I knew
08:47:17 <Mekkis> as far as I can tell, it wasn't
08:48:13 <Mekkis> I don't know what Paizo is doing these days, to be honest
08:49:34 <Mekkis> looks like my winNT3.1 install is getting less and less stable, as I try to get more of it to work
08:58:20 <Avatar> I am a bit sore about that 1-5 tonight idea you had mekkis
08:58:24 <Avatar> that would have worked out fantastically

22:24:48 <Mekkis> hi
22:25:04 <Damalon01> so heres my problem with Bonekeep. You get paid quite well, assuming you complete it. But the negative boon has no written cure. Mekkis theorised a Wish spell. a Wish spell would easily cost most if not all of the gold you get from the scenario, thus negating yet further the promise of great rewards made by the scenario.

22:25:57 <Mekkis> Damalon01, I agree that it is an issue.

22:26:15 <Mekkis> I don't like it.
22:27:26 <Damalon01> Osrim the Fish and I both gave it 1 star reviews.
22:29:56 <Mekkis> if you do want it removed, you can play part three with me...
22:30:32 <Damalon01> is part three out? is there a cure boon on its chronicle?
22:30:44 <Mekkis> nope, and probably not.
22:31:14 <Mekkis> But, I'll be giving out wishes there.
22:31:37 <Damalon01> then no thank you. the only way i can think of that part 3 would be worthwhile is if part 3 removed the negative boons from the previous scenarios.
22:31:46 <Damalon01> are you sure wishes will do it?
22:32:13 <Mekkis> depends on the GM, but I'm pretty sure that if Stephen or Andrey GMs, they'll allow it.
22:32:34 <Damalon01> but wouldnt Mike Brock have the final say so?
22:32:40 <Damalon01> couldnt he vetto them?
22:32:42 <Mekkis> yes and no.
22:33:15 <Damalon01> i think he could its wether or not he would
22:33:15 <Mekkis> if it happens at a table, it's happened. There is a slight chance of Brock vetoing it, but I'd call it unlikely
22:33:31 <Avatar> yo
22:33:38 <Avatar> what'd you play yesterday Damalon01
22:33:50 <Mekkis> That being said, he doesn't have much of a reputation for overriding table rulings
22:34:10 <Damalon01> nah itd cause too much strife.
22:36:02 <Damalon01> see i think that since the neg boon has no written cure, a GM could easily rule that there is none.
22:36:14 <Damalon01> that not even a wish can cure it
22:36:33 <Mekkis> I can see that. I also can't see Andrei or Stephen ruling like that
22:36:38 <Damalon01> cant sorry
22:37:09 <Damalon01> true, any fair GM would see reason. But Bonekeep wasnt written in the spirit of fairness was it?
22:37:21 <Mekkis> I wish I knew
22:42:36 <Mekkis> as far as I can tell, it wasn't
22:43:32 <Mekkis> I don't know what Paizo is doing these days, to be honest
22:44:53 <Mekkis> looks like my winNT3.1 install is getting less and less stable, as I try to get more of it to work

23:14:43 <Avatar> 10 mins freedom of movement vs 1/day dimension door
23:14:47 <Avatar> roughly the same price
23:14:50 <Avatar> pros and cons, discuss!
23:20:56 <s_gmusic|work> !item cloak of the mountebank
23:20:59 <diebot> s_gmusic|work, CAPE OF THE MOUNTEBANK [moderate conjuration] CL:9 shoulders 10800gp, 1lb
23:20:59 <diebot> Once per day on command, this bright red and gold cape allows the wearer to use the magic of the dimension door spell. When he disappears, he leaves behind a cloud of harmless gray smoke, appearing in a similar dramatic fashion at his destination. Source: Ultimate Equipment
23:21:19 <s_gmusic|work> !item unfettered shirt
23:21:19 <diebot> s_gmusic|work, UNFETTERED SHIRT [moderate abjuration and transmutation] CL:7 chest 10000gp, 0lb
23:21:20 <diebot> This loose, often ruffled, shirt is cut in a style designed to avoid hindering its wearer's movement. Once per day on command, the wearer can gain the benefits of freedom of movement for 10 minutes. Source: Ultimate Equipment
23:22:07 <s_gmusic|work> for the shirt, is that a continuous 10 minutes that can't be divided up or can it be split up in 1 minute increments
23:23:39 <s_gmusic|work> but also have to think about this: how often are you needing FoM? 1/day d.door seems more useful, especially as an emergency gtfo
23:42:24 <Avatar> cloak takes up the valuable shoulder slot though
23:42:49 <Avatar> are there other ways to dimension door if you don't need it as often
23:43:01 <Avatar> grapple is the most common reason to use it
23:43:16 <Avatar> it's not 1 minute increments if it doesn't say so
