04:53:34 <arch> Kuschelpony, considering it might have anywhere from 8 to 12 poles, it should be possible to arrange them in parallel, series, or a combination, in order to get 50 or 60Hz at ... some voltage (x)... and then if necessary use a step up or step down transformer to output semi-stabilized voltage, so long as RPM was relatively constant (3600RPM for gas engines typically)

AND what would suck is it would dissipate a hella lotta power in that resistor
