14:26:05 <Timegrinder> haha, I was telling someone about that squirrel obstacle course a couple of months ago, I can't remember who the hell it was though
14:26:48 <Timegrinder> something about crack squirrels too (squirrels getting addicted to crack because people bury it to hide it and they dig it up and eat it)
15:12:47 <ash_> ahh pills
15:12:47 <ash_> i think i'm starting to recover some serotonin now
15:14:03 <Timegrinder> turkey and nuts help
15:14:52 <Timegrinder> and vitamins b6 and b12 from memory
15:15:09 <ash_> yeah i was reading about that online and i've been having those kinda foods today
15:15:12 <ash_> bananas, chicken, milk
15:15:33 <ash_> aparently chocolate is good too
15:16:16 <ash_> this comedown is much better than ones i've had in the past
15:16:23 <ash_> but there could be many factors effecting that
15:25:27 <Timegrinder> chicken's not as good as turkey, it's got significantly less tryptophan
15:25:30 <Timegrinder> and I forgot about banana's
15:25:52 <Timegrinder> milk's good, but again, a fair amount less because it's been processed
15:26:33 <Timegrinder> the vitamin B also helps you turn tryptophan into serotonin if I remember right
15:27:32 <ash_> damn, i should have got a turkey baggette instead of chicken
15:28:48 <Timegrinder> alcohol's also bad, not that I'd think you'd be drinking at work
15:31:12 <Timegrinder> wtf, who made my shorts... there's one cargo pocket, no other pockets
15:31:33 <Timegrinder> and it's so small I can't even fit my hand in
15:31:39 <Timegrinder> (whole hand that is)

19:22:09 <JarZ> Carson; Today's Wii homebrew hotness comes by way of Team Twiizers, whose new hack takes last week's GameCube-free loader and enables custom channel icons that load hacked apps just like that.
19:22:11 <JarZ> that's fucking awesome :D
19:26:47 <Carson> !
19:26:49 <Carson> sweet
19:27:28 <Carson> where's that at?
19:28:15 <JarZ> um
19:28:22 <JarZ> it's still new, and a bit of a headfuck apparently
19:28:27 <JarZ> the link is on www.engadget.com
19:31:28 <Carson> hmm, will wait for further enhancements
20:04:56 <Timegrinder> JarZ: What brand/model is that tv you got?
20:06:00 <JarZ> samsung... uh...
20:06:29 <JarZ> why do you ask? :P
20:07:21 <Timegrinder> Wanted to take a look around and see if it interested me
20:07:35 <Timegrinder> well, getting one interested me, the device itself already succeeded with that
20:07:36 <JarZ> PS50Q91HDX
20:07:41 <Timegrinder> thanks
20:08:53 <JarZ> it's not fullhd though - 'only' 720p
20:09:38 <JarZ> i'd recommend reading up about viewing distances at various resolutions before deciding 720p vs 1080p
20:12:07 <JarZ> as far as 50" plasmas are concerned.. this one and panasonics eqivilent are pretty much identical in every way - it made it a difficult choice
20:12:22 <JarZ> this one just had slightly more features, and i got the price down to match the panasonics
20:12:48 <Carson> how can i find out what my tv is?
20:13:07 <Carson> the model number is on the back, and a pain to turn
20:13:25 <Carson> res is 1600x1200 @ 32bit, does that factor into it?
20:14:08 <JarZ> lol
20:14:10 <JarZ> google
20:17:48 <JarZ> Timegrinder; if you want any more info just ask. i did a lot of research before buying this, both into LCD and Plasmas :)
20:19:12 <Timegrinder> Well I'm looking at getting a larger screen for the computer, was working out whether or not to lay out for a large 'PC' lcd or get a 'TV' LCD/Plasma
20:20:33 <JarZ> if you can afford it, i'd say get a tv. most have vga input, and failing that they all have HDMI now, which is electrically the same as DVI, just a different pin out + audio
20:21:19 <Timegrinder> That's pretty much what I was thinking, plus I'd get getting a new video card that would support HDMI properly anyway
20:21:39 <JarZ> if you're looking at using it full time with your pc, as a desktop screen anyway, i'd say go LCD. there's still a low likelyhood of burn in with plasmas
20:21:57 <JarZ> Timegrinder; DVI > HDMI adaptors are only a couple of bucks anyway
20:22:20 <Timegrinder> Yeah, but I wanted the new video card anyway, and was aware it'd work without being specifically hdmi ready
20:22:28 <Timegrinder> so am aware it won't matter if I get one before the other
20:22:36 <JarZ> ah
20:22:38 <Timegrinder> but all that's the same line of thinking I already had
20:22:46 <Timegrinder> and I was going to go with 1080 because I wanted to keep a high resolution
20:23:12 <Timegrinder> I know 720 looks fine for video, I'd prefer the larger resolution for general pc stuff though
20:23:27 <JarZ> i personally don't think 1080p is worth the extra money. but it really depends on the viewing distance. if you're up close and using it as a monitor it'll be worth it
20:23:34 <JarZ> but if it's a couple of metres away it's not worth it at all
20:23:39 <Timegrinder> yeah, I'll be a metre away from it at most
20:23:45 <Timegrinder> more like 3-4 ft though
20:23:57 <Timegrinder> if I was further away I wouldn't be worried, but up close I'd notice everything
20:24:07 <JarZ> get a samsung fullHD LCD, then. :)
20:24:16 <Timegrinder> yeah, I've been looking at the 40" one
20:24:27 <Timegrinder> I figured I'd go high hertage too
20:24:36 <JarZ> Anthony just got the top of the line samsung 40"
20:24:40 <JarZ> cost him $2800 or something
20:24:44 <Timegrinder> LA40F81BDX
20:24:47 <Timegrinder> http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/detail/spec.do?group=television&type=television&subtype=lcdtv&model_cd=LA40F81BDX/XSA&fullspec=F
20:24:54 <JarZ> i think so
20:25:22 <JarZ> hmm i should probably leave for work..
20:25:27 <JarZ> meant to be there in 5 minutes
20:25:27 <JarZ> LOL
20:25:33 <Timegrinder> unfortunately the specs only list either 100mhz or don't list at all
20:25:51 <Timegrinder> yeah, slacker
20:26:24 <JarZ> if it doesn't list it, then it'll only be 50
20:26:37 <JarZ> k time to go to work and be half an hour late. bye!
20:27:13 <Timegrinder> bah, well 100 it is then
20:27:19 <Timegrinder> sod going downwards from where I am
20:27:29 <Timegrinder> and lol @ having a computer screen that is 1.1m wide
20:28:22 <Timegrinder> strangely that seems like it'd be 'too big' for a computer screen
20:29:28 <Carson> grr, it doesn't say
20:29:37 <Carson> http://www.hisense.com.au/products/television/archived/detailed/31
20:29:54 <Carson> looks like i can't run the native res either
20:30:19 <Carson> not sure about what drivers to use
20:35:03 <Timegrinder> it says 1366*768
20:37:29 <damian> Today: High(31'C) Low(23'C) Current(38'C)
20:37:31 <damian> !@
20:39:45 <Carson> wtf?
20:40:24 <damian> ?
20:40:25 <Timegrinder> wtf @ who?
20:43:20 <Carson> damo's comment
20:43:26 <Carson> 'high' 31, 'current' 38
20:43:39 <Carson> hmmm, was just talking to my dad about the eeepc
20:43:59 <Carson> i'll most likely be purchasing one when the 9" comes out, if it looks as good as the 7"
20:44:22 <stefan> suprised I haven't seen them much around uni, just the eee guys
20:44:35 <stefan> hah, electrical & electronic engineering that is
20:44:41 <Carson> lol

21:18:05 <damian> haha
21:18:16 <damian> check out the liquid nitrogen bomb video that comes up after it
21:27:39 <Timegrinder> carson wants some Ice9
21:32:57 <Timegrinder> there's a 5Ghz project video using liquid nitro in with that batch
21:33:24 <Timegrinder> it's four years old though
