08:28:00 <K> holla DHess_US
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I see Qatar is now at war with Israel
08:28:00 <Kuschelpony> in a different part of the world, things heat up between Russia and Poland
08:28:00 <rc-garage> hmm? now what?
08:28:00 <DHess_US> I didn't see what Qatar went to war over what happened.
08:28:00 <DHess_US> I saw something that said they knew about it beforehand
08:28:00 <DHess_US> Poland if requesting article 4 of the NATO convention to be used, which means consultation with other NATO members to decide a response to what Russia did.
08:28:00 <DHess_US> The Russia thing is obvious.
08:28:00 <rc-garage> hm, funny how stuff always happens, when I am on vacation
08:28:00 <*buffextras> [email protected] quit: Connection closed
08:28:00 <steve30> why doesn't russia like poland?
08:28:00 <DHess_US> Russia doesn't like anybody, and Poland is in their way.
08:28:00 <K> coz russia is full of cunts.
08:28:00 <DHess_US> As far as the current operation, they get attack Ukraine from an unexpected direction, and test Polish and NATO responses.
08:28:00 <DHess_US> So they learned that a sneak attack with drones will work against NATO.
08:28:00 <K> well you could argue that first rocket/drone attack would work every time
08:28:00 <K> but lets see if poland/nato starts shooting down drones already in ukraine
08:28:00 <K> um, not "already", "not yet in poland"
08:28:00 <K> belarus is more tricky though
08:28:00 <K> to my mind at least
08:28:00 <rc-garage> sssssneakyyyyy
08:28:00 <DHess_US> Putin won't care what happens to Belarus.
08:28:00 <DHess_US> Poland/NATO did shoot down a bunch of the drones, or claimed ot.
08:28:00 <rc-garage> funny that they used planes from netherlands to shoot them down
08:28:00 <K> as i see it the planes were "on patrol" and did the shootening
08:28:00 <K> shows that communication sorta works
08:28:00 <steve30> I'm just looking at pictures of busses from the 2000s and getting nostalgic for the days when "Up To Every 6 Minutes" was a thing.
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> Is 3 to 34c idle okay for an Xeon E3-1230
08:28:00 <rust_collector> I miss the time when the bus would even go here in winter.
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I had problems earlier, I don't think I was giving it enough paste
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> it seems better now
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> it was idling over 40c
08:28:00 <steve30> I'd guess it is
08:28:00 <rust_collector> 40 will not hurt it, but how hot does it get under load?
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I removed an Xeon 1200? V5 to this 1230 V6
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> aaaah right
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I had two of them
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> First Dell t130 with the E1230 V6
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> 24C idle
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> this one came woth aan e1200 v5
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> similar temperatures
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I brought the E3 1230 V6
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> at first the temperatures were over 40c compared to the previous cpu and other T130 running that CPU
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I tried a different past same result
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I have already had trouble spreading paste
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> "use a PEA sized" or "grain size"
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> when looking at the videos I see them mean pea size as a big blob
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> instead of a tiny rice grain
08:28:00 <rust_collector> I think you need to let it run for a while, before the paste gets squished out properly, or something, so it might work better the day after, than when it is just put in there.
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> so I put this big blob on it and it brought the temperatures down a lot
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> oh yes it is doing that now
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> but I am pleased it seems to have reduced it 10 - 15c
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> oh gone back to 40
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> opened many many things and it sayed i the late 40s
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> max 53c
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> ah 53 c opening up many browsers
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> but gone back quick to 40c
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> ad 37c now
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> so it seems to reduce quickly
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I think I'll leave it
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> it seems to roam in the early to under 40c idle
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> oops 30 to 40c
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> I have some new paste arriving tomorrow
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> 36c now
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> a bit high but at least seems to stable
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> maybe I didn't give it enough time
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> another thing, the back fan (not the cpu fan) in this T130 seems a bit noisier than the one I gave to the violin man even when I first got it
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> we found if we setup another account for the XRDP, the Greeter doesn't seem loop and cause the problems I experienced beofre
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> and it doesn't have onboard audio, something he was really pleased about.
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> he thinks even though it is not in use it could still interefer

08:28:00 <MrMobodies> https://i.imgur.com/0cX9nAv.jpeg
08:28:00 <MrMobodies> it's gone down by a degree so it lools like a good sign
