06:22:00 <gry> [06:18] <@gry> morning
06:22:00 <gry> [06:18] <@gry> im on discord too but i only reply to privmsgs at the rate of about one message per month
06:22:00 <gry> [06:18] <@gry> mostly reading the chat
06:22:00 <gry> [06:18] <@gry> subscribed to a few feeds
06:22:00 <gry> [06:19] <@gry> i liked it as a concept *slightly*
06:22:00 <gry> [06:19] <@gry> the idea of having audio chat and text chat on the same server for people to choose what they want is nice
10:53:00 <gry> i don't know how much of that got through
10:54:00 <gry> morning - im on discord too but i only reply to privmsgs at the rate of about one message per month - mostly reading the chat - subscribed to a few feeds - i liked it as a concept *slightly*
10:54:00 <gry> - the idea of having audio chat and text chat on the same server for people to choose what they want is nice - but i don't like clients which don't come with an option to self host a server easily - so each web browser should come with a web server and instructions where to get a static ip via tunneling or some other crap
10:54:00 <gry> - eqch irc client should come with an ircd - mobile phone providers should support static ips - android is a lovely platform for a web server, photos server, whatever
10:54:00 <gry> thats a condensed version of the same
14:33:00 * TheStewieG is now known as Werty
15:27:00 <o_> upgrade to ipv6 only
15:27:00 <o_> no tunneling
15:27:00 <o_> and android sucks, put linux on phones
15:35:00 <gry> o_: hi. I have a samsung galaxy s12 which works
15:35:00 <gry> o_: and an fxtec pro1 which had a linux on it but it physically does not power on after I had 0% on battery and it shutdown.
15:37:00 <o_> a full-time server on a phone will get killed by battery saving, with no option to keep it running
15:38:00 <o_> and if you're able to keep it running, the battery will be drained in about 5 hours
15:45:00 <gry> in old times, radio comms were scheduled to occur at particular hour
15:45:00 <gry> web server or chat server could also open by a schedule
15:45:00 <gry> it would save some energy
15:53:00 <o_> I'm running sshd servers, and lighttpd web servers on 2 phones and a tablet
15:54:00 <gry> cool.. what hardware is that?
15:56:00 <o_> nokia g10, motorola g5, samsung galaxy tab a8
15:56:00 <gry> nice, and what os?
15:57:00 <gry> you wanna meet my sister, she has at least five nokia n900 devices with maemo on them
15:57:00 <gry> usb slot fell off, awaiting her to solder it back on
15:58:00 <gry> back in a bit
20:37:00 <gry> evening
