16:28:00 <Devil45> awww b1rdy got owned again
16:47:00 <Devil45> isnt he already voiced?
16:48:00 <Devil45> i see a + next to him
16:49:00 <Devil45> and why did lx give me 2 cookies on entry?
16:49:00 <Devil45> aww
16:49:00 <Devil45> 2 different cookies too
16:50:00 <Devil45> good to see him all fixed
16:51:00 <Devil45> whoa
16:51:00 <Devil45> didnt you have a backup?
16:51:00 <Devil45> of the scripts and updates?
16:52:00 <Devil45> ive had 4 of those fail this past month
16:53:00 <Devil45> toshiba usb sticks are ok - hdd ehhhhhhh ... yes and no
16:53:00 <Devil45> ide?
16:53:00 <Devil45> thats old school
16:53:00 <Devil45> dont tell energizer
16:53:00 <Devil45> or he will say ide is ancient and you should go ssd etc.
16:53:00 <Devil45> he tried telling me windows 10 is great. yea right.
16:54:00 <Devil45> 4gb - is small
16:54:00 <Devil45> but for a 2½ drive thats reasonable
16:54:00 <Devil45> xp was always better than winme.
16:55:00 <Devil45> slightly better*
16:55:00 <Devil45> but these days you go with what works
17:01:00 <Devil45> ide drives are becoming rare now
17:01:00 <Devil45> but 4 gb?
17:01:00 <Devil45> thats a bit small
17:02:00 <Devil45> and the bot
17:02:00 <Devil45> if the bot was on it
17:02:00 <Devil45> then the drive failed
17:03:00 <Devil45> i had a drive die while i was online once
17:03:00 <Devil45> i was actually in cz on this server when it happened
17:03:00 <Devil45> started lagging
17:03:00 <Devil45> then a box popped up saying 'hard disk failure imminent'
17:03:00 <Devil45> went to reboot - sure enough - got the 'repair windows' box
17:04:00 <Devil45> bad hdd corrupted the os ;p had it replaced under warranty (i reinstalled everything once i got the pc back)
17:04:00 <Devil45> the drive was a seagate
17:05:00 <Devil45> you cant really fix a failed drive without the right tools
17:05:00 <Devil45> and data recovery costs a bit
17:05:00 <Devil45> for a pro to do
17:06:00 <Devil45> if the drive stops totally and cannot be recovered - straight to the bin
17:06:00 <Devil45> hammer first then bin
17:06:00 <Devil45> new drive - into pc
17:06:00 <Devil45> hammer the old drive then bin it *
17:07:00 <Devil45> i misnamed the box and put 'bad dick drives' on it
17:07:00 <Devil45> should be DISK
17:07:00 <Devil45> no because sd cards are nothing more than a chip
17:08:00 <Devil45> no moving parts
17:08:00 <Devil45> ssd also no moving parts
17:08:00 <Devil45> plus sd cards and ssd dont suffer magnetic change
17:10:00 <Devil45> plus updates
17:11:00 <Devil45> and any files/backups
17:11:00 <Devil45> several hours work
