20:39:00 <Glenn> Still, it's be dry heat, not like the humidity we've got here at the moment... you can almost bottle the air here and drink it!

20:47:00 <linying> Yes... though I really need a break. I had plnned to take six months off, in long service leave and accrued annual leave, then "disappear" into central China where I had a job lined up.

20:50:00 <linying> No... Pro Vice-Chancellor cancelled my leave application, then rejected my application for retrenchment. I only have a job at the Uni until the end of next year... and have been there for 24 years now.

20:52:00 <linying> Short staffed... said he couldn't replace me... etc.... etc... He cancelled my anual leave of Christmas too! I can't take leave until next Christmas, at the earliest!

20:56:00 <linying> No... the departmet is finished. Could go on sick leave for the next two years, 'cos that's how much I've saved up.
