00:50:00 <eddie> okie.. no good.. had a message from a dear lady friend on Crete, she is off to the UK to get her peg re-made it seems that she has lost weight and now it no longer fits (and here I was worried that her bone cancer had returned).

01:07:00 <eddie> when we get back to the netherlands I am looking forward to seeing the taxi driver we used last she was super nice, not in a rush and the fare was not excessive (cheaper than here in Perth for the distances)

01:23:00 <eddie> and a massive good friend passed away last year and he was 73 and he was a quad from 1988 I think (35 years with a broken spine after a car rollover on the Eyre highway).. also he was an amateur radio op and another who was at his funeral / wake witnessed the roll-over

01:25:00 <eddie> yer it was a interesting wake, COVID stuffed the ability for people to come from Canada where Don was originally from BUT there was lots of tributes from there as well as all the schools etc where he worked as a school counceller (while in that wheelchair)..

01:29:00 <eddie> we had a break in 2019 and did not travel overseas.. and planned a 4 week trip for 2020 and that was rubbed out badly.. this year was rubbed out for us (no so for family in the Netherlands and for friends on Crete and a friend in Luxembourg as he has been to Germany, Spain, italy, sardinia..)
