we have successfully migrated our entire email service to google hosted mail; this includes all @austnet.org email addresses, as well as mailing lists. users with an @austnet.org mail address now receive a 2Gb AustNet.org gmail account along with POP/SMTP access to seperate your AustNet mail. if you are part of our staff and would like to register for one of these please email [email protected]
registered users of this service can login via http://mail.austnet.org/
our mail lists now reside within the google groups domain.

Certain channels have now utilised the new channel mode +R — this channel mode requires that users be authenticated with the AustNet.org IRC services before being able to join the channel.
you will need to /msg [email protected] identify [password] before being able to join any channel that has +R set. if you have not already registered your nickname, simply /msg nickop help register when you’re next online. if you need further assistance with this, feel free to /join #help or /join #asd
