With much demand for the latest news in these troubled times,
a new channel has been set up - #newsroom, which uses an eggdrop
script to run live updates from the CNN and ABC news rooms.
The script updates every 3 minutes so receives the LATEST news
on whats going on in the world.

#Scumshine meet

On Friday the 21st March, around
50 people from #Scumshine and ScumShine.com showed their feelings
by walking to the state library in protest against the war.
Afterwards, all Scumshiners went to Metro Nightclub and enjoyed
a night out. We thank all the people for turning up and thank
the lovely people who organized the event.

Successful Channel Meet

The organisers would like to thank all the participants of the
#sydney supercruise. Lots of fun was had and we all look forward
to the next channel event! The previous meet in Centenial Park
saw 60 people attend. Keep an eye out in the #sydney
forums for upcoming events.

Trivia more popular than ever in
#Ibiza

#Ibiza
has been a very comfortable and relaxed channel over the past
few years. Users from all over the world have come and joined
us for hours of fun, chat and entertainment. Trivia has been
requested by many users and is now in place in the channel.
The bot's name is Elven-Lord or Trivia-Master - to play it there
are a few simple commands. To start !start … to make a
team !Team team-name ... and to answer a question !Guess answer-here.
Just by using trivia the channel has increased from 40 users
a night now up to 70 – 80 users. Trivia has been fun and
educational, as well as extremely effective on this channel.
#Ibiza
also has a Stats bot: Sword-master provides stats to users who
type !stats on the channel.

#Melbourne Peaking

Austnet's largest channel, #Melbourne, should peak at 1000 in
the near future. The channel has been a place for Melbournites
to chat since October 1997 - and currently has a channel peak
in the high 900s
